Overnight Backpacking Expeditions

River Adventure

For those who love to hike and want the added dimension of staying overnight in the woods, which increases your chances of seeing wildlife, such as moose, and experiencing spectacular woodland sunsets, as well as enjoying a hearty backcountry dinner and a savory sylvan breakfast, these trips are perfect.

Deer Crossing River

Imagine this: after an easy hike, we pitch our tents with plenty of time left in the day to go on a short nature adventure hike, wade into a cold stream, or catch a stunning view, and then return to the tents to experience the culinary delights of a mountain camp.

White Mountain View

Camp sites are off the trail in order to abide by White Mountain National Forest regulations, as well as to show you an “insider’s guide” to Waterville Valley’s special alpine nooks and secret places that are not listed on any map, and rarely visited by any other two-legged mammals.

  • For adults and children. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

  • Hikes begin at 9:00 AM on selected Fridays in July and August and finish at 4:00 PM on Saturdays. For more information, see the Calendar on the Home Page, or call Dan Newton @ (603) 236-9203.

  • We begin at the Town Square gazebo in Waterville Valley.
