Nature Adventure Walks
For those who love the outdoors and want to learn about the wildflowers and the trees and the mushrooms, but are not inclined to ascend to any great degree to enjoy them, or simply don’t have the time, the Nature Adventure Walks are ideal. Waterville Valley is blessed with several trails on the valley floor that offer a wide variety of natural phenomena to see and learn about. We bring along guidebooks and show you how to use them, so that you can take your experience back home with you and try some adventuring on your own.

Identifying wild flora is a rewarding experience: a treasure hunt for children, and a chance to enjoy the satisfaction of discovery for people of all ages. The programs are only two hours long, so that if you have plans to play tennis or a round of golf, you can do that, as well as venture into the nearby wilderness to find, learn and experience the wonders of nature down by the riverside.

In many ways, these walks are our signature program, in that they focus on discovery and education by taking advantage of the proximity of the wilderness to the village of Waterville Valley; and in so doing, bring participants back to the recreational roots of this town at the end of the road that has captured the hearts and imaginations of nature trekkers for over a hundred years.
